What I learned today.
In the morning, driving Naida to class, I learned that as an adoptive daughter she say she doesn't feel any need to investigate or look for her biological mother...That's interesting because I joined a group about interracial and international adoptions and they usually write a lot about these topics.
In class, In consecutive interpretation I learned from a speech translated into English the students... how multiple crisis have changed Argentina into a short-sighted country, where Argentinians consider themselves as the world champions in economic crisis management.
After that, a good student named Anabel explained the secret of the triangle of Peirce called - Object-Representamen-Interpretant. Playing with some objects, such as a little skeleton, she invited us to interpret what they could mean...She made it clear. An object that you show becomes a representamen and it is interpreted differently by everyone.
In the afternoon, well, our "Abuela" was home so it was difficult to imagine going out. But I learned that there are pickpockets in Panama: Naida came back complaining that her cell phone had been stolen in her bag at the bus stop...Nothing we could do.
I also imagined to go back to Belgium in two weeks and learned about the current price tickets. Some good deals at 1050 $ but...to do what?
